FF COUNCILLORS ADVANCE SIX-POINT PLAN TO ALLEVIATE FODDER CRISIS

A meal voucher scheme, the suspension of on-farm inspections and assistance measures from financial institutions were all elements of a six-point plan to assist farmers through the current fodder crisis put forward by the Fianna Fáil members of Monaghan Co Council on Monday.

The proposals were part of a notice of urgent business submitted by the FF Council grouping and unanimously adopted following debate at the conclusion of the local authority’s monthly meeting.
