MCANESPIE FAMILY ADDRESS CROSS-SECTION OF DÁIL DEPUTIES AND SENATORS

Members of the McAnespie family of Aughnacloy and Monaghan were hosted by the Chairperson on the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice and Equality Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin T.D. in Leinster House on last Thursday, 22nd March.

The McAnespie family delegation included the father of Aidan who was murdered by a British soldier at the Aughnacloy British Army checkpoint on 21st February 1988. John McAnespie now in his 83rd year was accompanied by his sons Seán and Vincent, by his nephew Brian Gormley and by the family’s solicitor Darragh Mackin. The Justice Committee event took place in the Leinster House Audio Visual Room and was attended by T.D.s and Senators from Sinn Féin, ….
