MOVES IN TRAIN TO HAVE MINISTER FOR HEALTH EXAMINE SERVICE POTENTIAL AT MONAGHAN HOSPITAL

Minister for Health Simon Harris is being encouraged by local political representatives to visit Monaghan Hospital to examine the potential for a level of service restoration that would enable the facility play a role in alleviating the current hospital overcrowding crisis.

Fine Gael councillor David Maxwell indicated during a debate at Monday’s meeting of Monaghan Co Council that his party were making representations to Minister Harris with a view to him paying an official visit to Monaghan Hospital. And Fianna Fáil Senator for Cavan/Monaghan Robbie Gallagher issued an invitation to Minister Harris to come to Monaghan during a debate in the Seanad last week.
