SUDDEN DEATH OF LEADING CO MONAGHAN GAA FIGURE

Co Monaghan Gaeldom is in mourning following the news of the sudden death on Tuesday, November 21 of Mr liam Stirrat, Scotstown, former Chairman of the Monaghan Co Board of the GAA.

Mr Stirrat served his Scotstown club and the county team with great distinction in playing and management capacities and was also one of the county’s leading GAA administrators.

As a player he represented Scotstown and Monaghan at Minor, U-21 and Senior level. He won his first Senior Championship medal….
