The championships are all down to the semi-final stages, with qualification for the JFC Final on the agenda. Latton and Ballybay completed the Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship semi-final line-up with wins in last Saturday’s double-header at a wet and windy Scotstown.

Latton had to dig deep to edge past Castleblayney in a tense encounter to go a step further than in the last five years. Eight days after falling just short in a freeflowing game against Scotstown, Latton had to work hard to get through a lowscoring quarter-final.
