Looking ahead to Monaghan’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-final date at Croker Park this Saturday, Dublin resident Tony Donnelly believes Malachy O’Rourke’s men have the tools to cause an upset.

The proud Clones native points to the most recent meetings of the sides as proof that Monaghan have shown that they have the mettle to rattle the Dubs’ cage: “Dublin have only beaten us by a point on a couple of occasions and we should have beaten them the last time we played them in Clones,” the long-time Parnells GAA (Coolock) clubman told the Northern Standard this week.
