Monaghan must lift them-selves for a qualifier trip to Séamus McEnaney’s Wexford after falling to a shock defeat in last Sunday’s Ulster SFC semi-final against Down in Armagh. Monaghan were expected to be preparing for a fourth Ulster final in five years, just over 12 months after inflicting a record championship defeat on Down, but they had the tables turned on them in an incredible 21- point turnaround.
