MONAGHAN TIDY TOWNS AND MONAGHAN U3A CELEBRATE SUCCESS

Monaghan Tidy Towns has presented Monaghan U3A with €2500 in lieu of their part in this year’s success in Monaghan’s winning the National Climate Change Award. The award prize money was €5000.

“When we were making the application for this award we agreed that if we were successful we would share the prize equally,” explained Emer Brennan, Secretary of Monaghan Tidy Towns. “We were surprised and delighted to be successful in our first attempt at this special category. The conference organised by U3A was a very important part of our application and we would be delighted to work with them again.”
