BALLYBAY GARDA CONGRATULATED ON PARALYMPICS SUCCESS

The achievements of a Ballybay garda in the 2016 Paralympics were recognised last Sunday evening.
Garda Eve McCrystal, who is originally from Dundalk and is stationed in Ballybay, competed in tandem events for Ireland as a sighted pilot for blind cyclist Katie Dunleavy. Together with Ms Dunleavy, Ms McCrystal won a gold medal at the 1km time trial B and a silver in the road race at the Paralympics in Rio last month.
