Another year has come and gone and with it another very successful Killylough Annual 40km/100km Charity Cycle in aid of St Dympna’s Faith & Light, Tydavnet.

There were two routes available on the day with a relatively flat 40km taking in the local villages of Knockatallon, Roslea, Scotstown, Ballinode before returning to Tydavnet, and the 100km route that included climbing Carnmore Mountain with its breath taking panoramic views of the adjoining counties while at the same time taking the breath of the cyclists who conquered it, and also included the towns of Knockatallon, Clones, Newbliss, Ballybay, Monaghan Town before also returning to the community centre in Tydavnet where the finishers of both routes were met with a barbequed burger and cold beer. We hope everyone had a very enjoyable day and hope to see you all again next year.

Killylough CC in conjunction with St Dympna’s Faith and Light greatly appreciate the effort of all those who made our event so special and worthwhile. Here are some of the people and groups involved and we hoped we haven`t left anybody out; We would like to thank the cyclists from Killylough…
