TASTE OF SUCCESS FOR BALLYBAY’S OLIVIA!

Olivia Duffy, from Ballybay, Co Monaghan has been selected as one of five national finalists in a recent Bord Bia competition, run in association with Today FM.

As part of a new ‘Lamb – Tasty, Easy, Fun’ campaign, Olivia submitted her signature lamb dish for the judges’ consideration and was delighted to be shortlisted as one of the most tempting and imaginative entries.

Olivia was asked to prepare her ‘Trimmed Lamb chops marinated in a sweet mustard, Served with creamy mashed potato and Ratatouille’ live on air as part of a competitive cook-off.

The final dishes were then judged by a prestigious tasting panel including Today FM presenter Anton Savage; Mairead Garvan, Marketing Specialist, Bord Bia; Irish chef Mark Moriarty, winner of the 2015 San Pellegrino Young Chef of the World and, sheep farmer Brian Nicholson.

While the overall prize was won by Tracey McDonagh from Galway, as a runner up Olivia walked away with a new mini i-pad.
