Irish celebrity Bressie travelled to Clones on Monday to garner support for local Voice of Ireland finalist Michael Lawson.

Bressie, who is Newbliss native Michael’s coach on the TV show, visited meat processing plant, ABP Clones, where Michael works and he also met some local people in the village of Newbliss. Michael can be seen singing live in this weekend’s Voice of Ireland final on RTE One this Sunday from 6.30pm.

The ‘steaks’ are high as Michael faces competition from three other singers who are vying for the coveted Voice of Ireland title. Despite Michael being tipped to win the show last week, according to BoyleSports, Team Kian’s Kelesa Mulcahy has emerged as the new favourite to win at the most crucial time, the final week.

Kelesa was a respectable 7/2 to win before her semi-final performance of Little Mix’s ‘Secret Love Song’, but that price was quickly snapped up from punters, who backed her into the now 11/8 favourite. Michael’s odds have remained static at 5/2.

Viewers will have the chance to vote for their favourite during the show so local people are encouraged to pick up the phone and support Monaghan’s Michael.
