Monaghan Arch Club enjoyed a great night on Thursday last in Gavin Duffy Complex, thanks to Monaghan Harps GAA Club. A beautiful venue, great personnel and lovely food was topped off by a wonderful five piece band. Chairperson, Sean McKenna, welcomed us all. Hugh Coyle did us proud with a wonderful speech and Nigel McClave celebrated his birthday in style. The Arch Club Choir gave their usual outstanding performance and we had great individual numbers from Ian Hall, Elaine Russell, Stephen Boylan and Mary Sheridan. Our thanks to Sean McKenna, Lorcan McAdam, Jimmy Croarkin, Colm Shalvey, Pauric Callan, Rose Donnelly, Una Forde and all the Harps members for making the night a great success. Thanks also to all who did the cooking, made sandwiches, cocktail sausages and supplied pastries. It was all topped off with a five piece band, complements of Patrick McDonald with Dez Murphy, Anthony Ballantine, John McKenna and Tommy Connolly who really brought the night alive.
