Ten Monaghan brothers are set to leave the razors aside for the month of November and grow beards in aid of Cavan / Monaghan Palliative Care.

The Coyle brothers from Rackwallace are also aiming to enter the Guinness World Records book for the most siblings to take part in a fundraising beard shave. Cavan / Monaghan Palliative Care was chosen to benefit as the local service provided great care and attention to the brothers’ late father Maurice Coyle in the final weeks of his life. Maurice passed away in March this year.

Each one of the boys – Xavier, Brendan, Trevor, Stephen, Declan, Paul, Niall, Ciaran, Liam and Dermot – have sponsorship cards for anybody who wishes to donate to the cause. Donations will also be accepted by their four sisters, Dorinda, Marissa, Lisa and Nicola.

The beard shave will take place in Renaghan’s Bar, Clontibret from 8pm on Saturday, 28th November. There will be music and refreshments on the night and everybody is welcome to come along and show their support.
