LAUNCH OFFERS A TASTE OF WHAT TASTE OF MONAGHAN 2015 HAS IN STORE

IN AN ERA of growing interest in creative culinary delights, food lovers in Monaghan town, county and beyond are being promised a mouth-watering menu of all things related to cookery, fine cuisine and fresh country foods over the first weekend in October when the sixth annual ‘Taste of Monaghan’ festival takes place in the county town.

A host of celeb chefs and well-known gourmet personalities will be on hand to thrill the punters with their cookery demos in the Festival Marquee in the Upper Courthouse Carpark over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, those who attended a launch of the event in the Market House on Tuesday evening were told.

Over 60 producers will be displaying a wide range of quality foods at their exhibition stalls, with visitors having numerous samples and tastings opportunities to whet the appetite.

The “Festival of Food” will also include a Side Walk Sale in Monaghan Shopping Centre over the weekend, children’s activities, a pottery demonstration, yoga, live music and Taste of Monaghan Specials in participating restaurants.
