AN AFTERNOON OF CELEBRATIONS AT ST. MICHAEL’S N.S RACKWALLACE

There was an air of celebration and elation at St. Michael’s N. S Rackwallace on Friday 19th July at the Flag Raising Ceremony and annual End of Year Presentation Day. Guests of honour on this occasion were recently retired school bus driver Mrs. Margaret McCague and her family and also the family of Derval Sherry our SNA for the past eight years.

Festivities got underway at noon with the raising of the Green Flag in the presence of pupils, staff, parents, PTA & Board of Management members and friends from the local community. Acting Principal, Belinda Treanor outlined and acknowledged the huge effort of so many people in securing a 3rd Green Flag for the school, and in particular, applauded pupils and staff -past and present who were involved with this project.   She also expressed a word of thanks to Environmental Officer, Nial O’Connor for all his help and support throughout the …..
