EMYVALE’S ERIN TREANOR IS 2014 TEXCO CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR

She is a real inspiration to everyone in her club, community and county and is someone who is vital for her club.”So stated Ladies Gaelic Football Association President Mr. Pat Quill in the immediate aftermath of the announcement earlier this week that Emyvale’s Erin Treanor (O’Neill) had been declared the winner of the 2014 TESCO Club Person of the Year.

At a presentation lunch at Croke Park on Tuesday last. Erin was selected as the winner of the overall award having earlier been announced as the winner of the TESCO Ulster Club Person of the Year.

The TESCO Club Person of the Year Awards honour the volunteers that work tirelessly in clubs and communities throughout the country.

Club members from right across the country were asked to nominate people who they thought had made an outstanding contribution to their clubs.

The range of nominees received by the LGFA encompassed volunteers who are ordinarily engaged in everything from fundraising to jersey washing to coaching and everything in between.
