A VERY successful Family Fun Evening arranged by Co-operation Ireland in association with Drum Development Association was enjoyed by young and old in Drum village on Monday evening last.

This event was part of a Culture & Heritage thematic programme of activities, which is happening within Co Monaghan in 2013 and is being delivered by Co-operation Ireland.

On the evening, there was a walking Treasure Hunt that provided an opportunity for all participants to learn about the culture and heritage of the locality surrounding Drum.

Afterwards all the participants congregated at the picturesque Drum Lake and enjoyed a hearty barbecue in the fine weather, where they were entertained by music from an Irish traditional group and also members of Ballinamallard Accordion band.

The culturally rich event was thoroughly appreciated by all in attendance.
