Funding totalling almost €100,000 for childcare services in Cavan and Monaghan has been announced.
The allocation comes as part of the second round of Childcare Capital Grants awarded since 2008. Nationwide €2.75 million is being allocated to 671 childcare providers.

€40,042 is being made available to groups in Co Monaghan. The allocation to Co Cavan is €58,186.
Welcoming the announcement, Fine Gael TD for Cavan/Monaghan Heather Humphreys said that local service providers would directly benefit from the funding announced by Minister for Children Frances Fitzgerald.

“This is a welcome investment that will help to ensure that we continue to improve the quality of early childhood care and education in our area,” Deputy Humphreys stated.

“I understand that all submitted applications were considered in order to find those that most closely met the criteria and objectives of the programme.
