Monaghan have little time to contemplate their Dr. McKenna Cup Final defeat, as the new season moves up a gear with the start of the Allianz National Football League this Sunday, when they host Meath. Monaghan and Meath, who were both relegated from Division Two last year, are tipped to quickly bounce back to the second tier. Meath have been installed as favourites by the bookies to win the Division Three title, with Monaghan next on the list, although it does look likely to be a competitive league and the Farney men will need no reminders that no games can be taken for granted, making every available point crucial.
