CAMPUS RELOCATION RAISES CURTAIN ON NEW ERA FOR GARAGE THEATRE

Monaghan Town’s Garage Theatre is preparing to raise the curtain on an exciting new era in its history.

 The theatre is currently advancing with the transition process that will see it take up occupancy of new state of the art headquarters in March at the Monaghan Education Campus development at Knockaconny. The new facility will accommodate an audience of 300 patrons.

The theatre seating is retractable so that the main auditorium space can double-up for set design and film production. In addition, there is a film screen, large rehearsal space, lighting control room, changing rooms, box office, administrative offices and bar. Total area is 1,940 m2. As with all other buildings on the campus, it is fully accessible by less able-bodied patrons.
