MONAGHAN GAA OFFICIAL YEARBOOK OFFERS SHOWCASE FOR SPORTSWRITERS OF THE FUTURE

MONAGHAN GAA – A REVIEW OF 2012, the official yearbook of Monaghan County Board, was launched by Ard Stiúrthóir Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Páraic Duffy in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan on Sunday morning last.
Following from the success of last year’s official yearbook, this year’s edition again gives a comprehensive review of all Monaghan GAA activity throughout the last 12 months.
It recounts the story of the various championships within the county, records the fortunes of Monaghan county teams in all codes and casts an eye on 2012 as it was for all clubs in the county.
It features contributions from many well-known figures in the GAA in the county, including county senior footballer Dick Clerkin and Irish Times writer Malachy Clerkin, as well as contributions from primary school children through the Monaghan GAA Writing Project 2012. The selection of three All-Star teams from the senior, intermediate and junior football championships will give rise to debate.
