The shield playoffs took place in Corduff on sunday April 1st with some real quality darting action. In the division 1 shield final the home team of Mountain Dew comfortably overcame the challenge of the recent cup champions Jacks A 5-1 to win the retain the shield they won last year.
The division 2 final was between Carrick outfit the Dugout and Emyvale lads Three Mile House. It went down to the wire with the match going down to a team 1001 shootout. Three Mile House held their nerve to clinch it in the end to win the Shield.
Congratulations to Mountain Dew and Three Mile House.
The Benny Martin Memorial Cup will be taking place in the Welcome Inn, Ballybay on friday the 20th of April. Matches are to start at 8pm and the entry fee will be €10. There will be €275 prize money up for grabs with the winner taking home €150, runner up €75 and beaten semi finalists €25 each. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.
