Conal Mc Kenna put in a classy performance in both contests last week, to lift the Ulster 9 county Gold Medal. His first opponent was Declan Duffy from Twins-Towns Belfast; Duffy was a very tall and strong opponent who tried to put Mc Kenna on the back foot from the opening bell. Mc Kenna was having none of it standing toe to toe with Duffy in the first two rounds, before taking control in the third round to win 2-0. In the final Mc Kenna was up against Aaron Coyle from Lisnafin Boxing Club Strabane, Mc Kenna took control of the fight from the first bell, catching him with some great lefts and right hands. Slowing him down with some powerful body punching, to win the fight 13-0, Mc Kennas defence was outstanding through out these Champion-ships having not conceded one score, this was Mc Kennas best Performance to date. WELL DONE CONAL.
