A resounding thumbs up from Tyholland athlete Padraig Crudden is recriprocated by his friends and well-wishers at the good luck party staged at Monaghan Training Workshop preparatory to his departure to compete in the World Special Olympics in Athens.
Padraig will be bidding for medal glory in the 100m sprint, long jump and relay events as one of the 124 athletes representing Team Ireland in the 25th June-4th July sporting extravaganza.
Padraig departs with his team-mates on Monday next, June 20 from Dublin Airport and will spend a number of days on the island of Rhodes prior to travelling to Athens for the competitions.
In all 7,500 athletes from 185 nations will participate in what will be the biggest sporting event staged in the world this summer.
