The Duffy quads, Thomas, Orla, Niall and JohnPaul recently celebrated their 30th birthday in their hometown of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. Born on May 7, 1981 at Craigavon Area Hospital in Co. Armagh, the four siblings were delivered by Dr. David Lowry and are Ireland’s first known natural surviving quadruplets.
Parents Peader and Elizabeth Duffy raised the quads in Kilsaran, Castlebellingham, Co. Louth along with their younger brother Conor (26) and older sister Roisin (31). Interestingly, their father Peadar Duffy is originally from Lough na Garnaman, Carrickmacross.
