Four Fathers

Good news generally comes in threes, but for the Crossan family, it came in the form of four bundles of joy.
The four Crossan brothers Jonathan, Donal, Declan and Noel recently became fathers to four babies, three girls and a boy, who were born within weeks of each other. However, Declan, who contacted The Northern Standard, was quick to point out that it was their wives who did the hard work.
Jonathan and Sinead, Greaghdrumitt, Carrickmacross, were blessed with Georgia on January 17th; Donal and Marguerita, also hailing from Greaghdrumitt, welcomed baby Cerys on February 4th; Declan and Claire, Cornacrew, Laragh, were joined by baby Rachel on February 25th, and Noel and Cathy, Corbeagh, Shercock, welcomed new addition Finn to the fold on April 1st.
This unique occurrence was celebrated by a quadruple christening in St. Joseph’s Church last Sunday at 1pm, followed by a celebration in Darver Castle, Co. Louth.
The couples would like to extend their thanks to Fr. Padraig McKenna for officiating the ceremony, their extended families and everyone who extended good wishes their way.
