Get your hair done for the radio! The Knockatallon Ramblers along with the support of other network groups will welcome RTE for a walking extravaganza at Sliabh Beagh on May 7th.

The event will be broadcast on RTE’s ‘The John Murray Show’. Walkers from clubs north of the border will meet up in the bog at the Three County Hollow where the counties of Tyrone, Monaghan and Fermanagh converge.

Musicians will play as the walkers set off from Sliabh Beagh at 12 noon. There will be further entertainment with local celebrities taking part along the route. Music and refreshments on return to the Sliabh Beagh Hotel. So come along and take part in either the long or short walk. Waterproof clothing and footwear are strongly advised. Denim and wool are not suitable for wet weather.

Easter Egg Hunt on Bank Holiday Monday
The Knockatallon Ramblers invites kids to come along and join the fun hunting for Easter Eggs in Rossmore Park.
The walk starts from Monaghan United’s Gortakeegan car park at 12 noon. Tokens for Easter eggs will be hidden along the walk in Rossmore Park. The lucky finders will get an Easter Egg.

Sunday 8th May, Cooleys, meet Sam’s Diner at 9am. Sunday 15th may, Dawn Chorus, meet Sliabh Beagh Hotel at 4am – breakfast in the hotel afterwards. And if you still have the energy, the Blackwater 10K is on in the afternoon!
