The 2014 National Senior Indoor Championships took place in the Athlone International Indoor Arena last weekend. Alicia Boylan was the sole representative from the county as she competed in the Women’s 3k Walk. On her third visit to the Midlands venue this year the Oriel athlete was once again on the podium this time taking the Bronze medal in a time of 15:01.76. Leevale’s Lauren Whelan took the title in 14:22.96 with Sinead Burke of St Coca’s taking Silver in 14:44.85.
