Claims by a Newbliss man have contributed to the reigniting of the controversy surrounding presidential election candidate Sean Gallagher’s treatment on the RTE ‘Frontline’ programme in October last. Forty-three-year-old Pat McGuirk in an interview in last weekend’s Sunday Independent claimed that the text of a question he asked as an audience member on the programme was altered by RTE to make it “hostile” in import regarding Mr Gallagher’s record on job creation.
