Rossmore Forest Park in Monaghan was the appropriate venue on Friday for the launch of a report by Coilte which confirmed the amenity as the second most visited of the authority’s public amenities last year. The seven members of the Monaghan Municipal District agreed on Monday to write to Cellnex Ireland voicing their personal opposition to the location of a telecommunications mast close to the Rossmore Forest Park amenity in Monaghan Town. The forestry authority Coillte have informed Monaghan Co Council that they are not amenable to waving the €5 admission charge recently introduced for vehicles accessing Rossmore Park in Monaghan Town.
