By Michael McDonnell michael@northern-standard.ie The queen’s visit to Ireland on May 17th, which coincides with the anniversary of the Dublin and Monaghan bombings in 1974, has prompted a group representing the victims to call on the British government to release all files it holds relating to the atrocities. Describing the choice of date for Queen Elizabath II’s arrival as an “extraordinary coincidence”, Justice for the Forgotten has urged the British authorities to release any information they hold on the bombings as “a significant gesture of reconciliation” between the two countries. ...
