Two motions passed by Monaghan Co Council at its June meeting called on Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney to act to ensure that adequate staffing levels were maintained in the Teagasc farm advisory service in Co Monaghan. Independent member of Monaghan Co Council Paudge Connolly staged a dramatic walk-out at Monday’s meeting of the authority after a clash with Co Mayor Jackie Crowe.
