“The people of Ireland are being ripped off by the pharmaceutical sector and the Dept of Health are entirely complicit,” declared Monaghan Co Mayor Sean Conlon when moving a motion at the October meeting of Monaghan Co Council which protested at the high cost of prescription medication in this country and called on Minister for Health Dr James Reilly to act to bring down the cost of generic drugs.
