









































Shareholders of LacPatrick Dairies (formerly Town of Monaghan Co-Op and Ballyrashane) and Lakeland Dairies (incorporating Lough Egish) have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the merger of both dairy processing businesses. LacPatrick shareholders from both sides of the border met in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone while a separate special general meeting for Lakeland suppliers was held in Cavan. Lakeland Dairies has announced the appointment of Mr. Colin Kelso, a dairy farmer from Dungannon, Co Tyrone as Vice-Chairman of the co-operative. Mr Kelso joined the Board of Lakeland Dairies in 2013. He succeeds Gerry Melia who has served with distinction as Vice-Chairman since 2012 and who continues as a Board member. Lakeland Dairies and Fane Valley co-operatives this week announced details of two new joint ventures projected to yield a combined annual income of €845 million.
