Michael Fisher The committee set up in County Monaghan to oppose EirGrid’s plans for an overhead 400kV North/South electricity line through five counties, with 110 large pylons in this county situated across 41 townlands, has submitted its objections to An Bord Pleanála. The County Monaghan Anti-Pylon Committee is calling on the Board to refuse the application and instruct EirGrid to bring forward a sensible and cost effective underground alternative.
