COILLTE INSISTENT THAT €5 ROSSMORE PARK CHARGE WILL REMAIN

The forestry authority Coillte have informed Monaghan Co Council that they are not amenable to waving the €5 admission charge recently introduced for vehicles accessing Rossmore Park in Monaghan Town. This emerged at the January meeting of the Council in the course of a discussion on the forest amenity engendered when Fine Gael councillor Ciara McPhillips highlighted problems caused by trees from the park overhanging the Threemilehouse Road.
