Sinn Féin’s Brian McKenna cited a letter from the office of the Garda Commissioner at Monday’s meeting of Monaghan Co Council which he said refuted accusations made in relation to Republicans at the Council’s previous meeting when diesel laundering and the problem the local authority faced in dealing with the toxic waste material from the activity were discussed. North Monaghan Sinn Féin Councillor and Regional Health Forum member, Brian McKenna, has received a commitment from the HSE that Monaghan General Hospital could and would receive patients from Drogheda and Dublin hospitals following procedures being carried out.
