The Blackwater 10k took place at Gortakeegan, Rossmore, Monaghan. An estimated 1200 people showed up on the day. This fun run family day has been going from strength to strength for the past six years. Charitable contributions resulting from proceeds raised at the recent Blackwater 10k Run n’ Walk held in Rossmore Park were presented last Wednesday in the Squealing Pig Bar. Donal Kenny representing The Arch Club and Maeve McCluskey from Hospice Home Care, both received a check for €1,500 on behalf of their respective voluntary organisations.
