European Schoolboys Boxing title winner Aaron McKenna got a hero’s welcome when he returned to Smithboro on Sunday evening. The powerhouse pugilist is pictured by Rory Geary with Monaghan Co Mayor Sean Conlon and Monaghan Co Boxing Board Chairman Martin Cadden at a reception in the local community centre to honour his achievement (see sports pages for full coverage of what has been described as a landmark week in Irish boxing).
