FIRST PHASE OF NATIONAL BROADBAND PLAN UNDERWAY IN CO MONAGHAN

National Broadband Ireland (NBI), the company working with the Government to deliver the National Broadband Plan, announced this week that surveying works are underway in Co Monaghan. NBI stated in a media release: NBI contractors have been on the ground since January surveying townlands in counties including Cork, Galway, Cavan and Limerick. In Co Monaghan, surveyors are working in areas such as Cornacassa, Cortolvin, Ballybay, and Stranooden. Michael Fisher Tributes were paid in Co. Monaghan on Sunday to coincide with the State funeral in Co. Mayo of Detective Garda Colm Horkan. Mourners at the Requiem Mass in Charlestown heard that he was deeply loved and one of nature’s gentlemen. The 49-year-old sustained fatal injuries, following a shooting in Castlerea, Co.
