There has been widespread condemnation of the dumping of around 35 carcases of dead lambs in the scenic Sliabh Beagh area of North Monaghan. The dead animals were discovered along the popular Esh walking trail near Poll an Aifrinn in the area on Wednesday of last week when local people alerted Monaghan Co Council, who put in place an operation to have the carcases removed from the area.
