Monaghan Co Council’s ‘Your Vote Your Voice’ project has been shortlisted for a 2019 EU Innovation in Politics Award. The project centred around the production an easy-to-use guide to voting. The award is administered by the Innovation in Politics Institute, of which Dublin City University’s School of Law and Government is the Irish partner.

A media release stated: “The Innovation in Politics Awards recognise and support those politicians and their organisations who have the courage to break new ground, who are creative and achieve real results. The awards aim to bring innovative work to the fore, so that it may serve as a source of inspiration to others across the European Union. “Monaghan Co Council is one of nine entries from Ireland to reach the European finals of the awards. Eighty finalists were selected by a jury of more than 1,000 citizens from all European countries.
