A slightly changing trend in the ethnic mix of the population of Co Monaghan is revealed by the latest publication of findings from Census 2016.

But Catholicism is still the predominant religious faith in the county, the statistical analysis reveals.

The information has emerged from the publication by the Central Statistics Office of their latest Census 2016 report, “Profile 8 – Irish Travellers, Ethnicity and Religion”.
