Ó FEARGHAIL KEEPING MUM ABOUT FG ELECTION OFFER SPECULATION

GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail is holding his cards close to his chest with regard to speculation about whether he has been asked to stand for Fine Gael in Cavan in the next general election. It was reported in this week’s Sunday Independent that the Drumgoon man has been approached by senior Fine Gael officials with a view to putting him forward as the party candidate in the Cavan end of the constituency.
