CLLR. URGES BETTER FUTURE PLANNING AS MONAGHAN MUST GET AHEAD ON SOCIAL HOUSING

THE general delay in the building of housing schemes means that local authorities should be constantly planning for the future, according to a South Monaghan member of Monaghan county council, this week. Cllr. Colm Carthy said yesterday that a housing estate can take up to three years from design to fruition, so Monaghan County Council needs to “ act now to deal with increases in social housing lists into the future”.
