TWO DIE AFTER CRASH ON MONAGHAN- FERMANAGH BORDER

Two men have lost their lives following a road traffic accident on the Monaghan-Fermanagh Border on Sunday night last. The single vehicle collision occurred on the Clones Road at approximately 8.45 pm and involved a blue Peugeot 206.

The 22-year-old driver, who has been named as Luke Lynch, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 21-year-old male passenger in the vehicle sustained critical injuries and died later in the week in hospital. A third man, also in his 20s, sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident.

Inspector Kier Kitt of the Police Service of Northern Ireland appealed for witnesses to the accident to come forward. He said the PSNI were also anxious to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle travelling…
