BOSE SALE AND NEW JOB PROSPECTS FOR CARRICKMACROSS

TRADE leaders, including chamber of commerce representatives and local councilors in South Monaghan, have joined this week in a united welcome for the news, confirmed last week, that the former Bose plant at Carrickmacross, was sold to a Chinese food production company. Shane O’Hanlon, spokesman for the firm which conducted the sale to the syndicate which has its headquarters in Shanghai, has said it is hoped that when the new firm gets into production at the plant, its job creation level will equal that of the former Bose industry, which had 150 employees.
