’BLAYNEY-BASED YOUTH WORK CENTRE TO GET €72,000 FROM IFI FUND
CROSS-BORDER COMMUNITY PROJECTS TO RECEIVE €3.1m IN TOTAL
THE International Fund for Ireland recently confirmed that £2.6m/€3.1m of financial assistance will be shared between 18 community projects in Northern Ireland and the Southern border counties — including €72,000 that will go to the Monaghan Youth Work Ireland in Castleblayney The funding includes £1.5m/€1.7m for nine “good relations” projects that will assist young people in taking better control of their lives and overcoming adversity.
Supported through the Fund’s Personal Youth Development Programme, these projects will provide opportunities to build resilience and self-confidence and improve education and employment prospects.
