SOSAD FUNDRAISING CLIMBS TO WELL IN EXCESS OF TARGET!

A group of friends who recently took on a fundraising challenge of climbing the three highest mountains in the UK in under 24 hours handed over a cheque for just over €22,000 to SOSAD last weekend.

As reported in The Northern Standard in May, the sixteen locals who make up the Three Peaks crew conquered Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales in a bid to raise money for the bereavement support and suicide prevention charity. More poignantly, they also used the mountain climb challenge as a way of celebrating the life of their friend and fellow Monaghan man, Kieran McAree.
